The Advice You Need To Save Your Marriage

When you first got married you would of said these words “until death do we part” and you both should live up to this promise, however many married couples fail to keep this one important promise. For some couples keeping the relationship healthy is a walk in the park. However, in the real world the marriages that work well are the ones who are willing to work with it. A great marriage doesn’t just happen without any effort, or work. If your marriage isn’t as fun and exciting as when you first got married, don’t panic because there are plenty of things you can do to improve the quality of it before seeking the help of a marriage therapist.
The two most important aspects of a healthy well balanced marriage are Respect and Consideration. I want you to think back to when you first got together, these feelings would have been much stronger back then. Most likely if your husband/wife isn’t showing you the same level of consideration and respect, then you won’t want to show it either.

Take a second to reflect on the times your husband or wife has displayed these feelings for you. If you are having trouble remembering any times when these feelings have been shown for you, then its time you both had a nice long conversation.
You and your partner both need to write down a number between 1 and 10 on a piece of paper of how bad you think the problem is, next show each other your score. After showing each other your numbers lets say you write down a score of 4/10 and your partner puts down 7/10, as you will see by the scores you partner probably had no idea just how bad things really are. As you can see by doing this you both can see how bad you think the problem is and from there work out a solution and or compromise for the particular issue at hand.
What you never want to do is point the finger at your partner, this will only make things worse.

If youyou’re your husband/wife find that you both have a different problem which is worse than the rest of your problems then this is when you both need to work out if they are related to each other.
For instance, he thinks that the worst problem is that “you are never home” and you think the worst issue is that “you are always leaving a big mess around the house”. It might just be that because you are never home, he feels that there is no point keeping the cleaning up as he is the only one who is ever at home. See how both of these issue’s could be effecting each other?
This means you now need to fix this problem before doing anything else. Make a time to get together and work out when you both have separate activities so that following you have been out you can mutually finish up at home together. You may have to cut back on particular activities or maybe join a few groups of friends together so you can manage your time better with your partner.
If its work keeping you away from your partner, then you may want to discuss with your employer some alternative working hours, say come in early on Monday and Tuesday and leave early Friday. If you both look outside the box, you will be surprised at what options that are available.
