Intellectual Compatibility – Free Relationship Compatibility Test

Smart girl I always like to define words when describing a way of working with people. And when we talk about such a sensitive subject as relationship compatibility – which can deeply affect people lives, it becomes even more important.

So what does this mean intellectual? From Webster’s Dictionary Intellectual means:

Belonging to, or performed by, the intellect; mental; as, intellectual powers, activities, etc.

Here intellect means the capacity for rational thought, reasoning and understanding.

So two people are intellectually compatible are those who have pretty close ability to rationally think and understand each other.

For example, when buying a new house, a couple has to take into account so many parameters: where to buy, what type of mortgage to take, for how many years, what is the interest rate and so on. All this information has to be understood and acted upon. And if one person grasps this all very fast, while the other find himself absolutely incapable of reasoning with this data, the couple might feel that they are intellectually different and so incompatible.

Intellectual is often considered to be the opposite to emotional where what decides things is what the person feels and not what he thinks or knows of.

But I think that people should take into account such things as education, experience and even talents of certina people in different spheres. So a person who is really gifted in mathematics might still not understand and not being able to follow another one who has a good education in physics.

For thoses reasons when a couple wants to test their intellectual compatibility it is best to test first the IQ of each partner and when it shows to be pretty close, to consider different intellectual fields of common life, like mortgages and general finances, common knowledge and education level and so on.
